I am, (like many others), a self taught lampworker, without an original thought of my own and long time bead lover. I make beads in my home studio; Overlooking Zion National Park from Apple Valley, Ut. The area has a big influence in my work. I attended college at the University of Hawaii in 1990's and quickly as drawn to clay and the raku process, I started raku firing my husband's pottery and made hand built sculptures. So of coarse raku has also made its way into my work. When I couldn’t fire pottery anymore I wanted to find something else, (I could burn up)! I wanted to do something and still be my own boss. I have loved and collected beads for longer than I care to say. I bought a book on making lampwork beads and never looked back. I want to thank all the bead artists out there as you have had a huge influence in my work too. I have a lot of bead auctions on eBay and give away free beads every month from this site.
